Staff Care

We have implemented a work from home plan for all staff who are equipped and whose duties allow them to work from home.  For essential staff who are required to work in the field or at a location outside of their homes we have implemented increased hygienic protocols and we will continue to monitor them for symptoms of illness in order to take proactive action.

Our Subsidiaries

In order to protect the well-being of our customers and staff and to enable them to remain in good health, we have implemented the following protocols with immediate effect:

1. Everyone entering our premises must have their hands sanitized by our staff at the door
2. Any patrons displaying flu-like symptoms, symptoms of malaise or illness, will be denied the use of our facilities
3. All restrooms are equipped with disinfecting hand soap; we encourage you to wash your hands multiple times while in the facility
4. All cashiers are required to use hand sanitizers whenever they handle cash or cards
5. All gaming machines will be sanitized multiple times daily
6. All surfaces utilized by staff and customers will also be sanitized multiple times daily

We encourage all our patrons to continue following the basic hygienic principles stated by the Ministry of Health to stay healthy and minimize the spread of the virus, and we commit to continuously monitoring and updating our protocols in this dynamic situation.

As a result of the BGLC’s implementation of the new government regulations to halt the spread of COVID-19, each Supreme Ventures Retail and Off Track Betting Location must observe the following protocols in order to remain compliant:

  1.  Display prominent signage guidelines on sanitizing and hand washing and information on social distancing
  2. Sanitization of each patron upon entry
  3. Bar operations are to cease, machines are not to be operated in these locations
  4. Limit the entry to no more than ten (10) persons and ensure that this number is maintained;
  5. Breaches that are observed will result in the Commission insisting on the closure of the premises indicated

We encourage all our patrons to continue following the basic hygienic principles stated by the Ministry of Health to stay healthy and minimize the spread of the virus, and we commit to continuously monitoring and updating our protocols in this dynamic situation.

Effective Saturday, March 21, 2020 at midnight, the operations of Caymanas Park will be closed until further notice.

The company has been in dialogue with its regulator, the BGLC, since late Tuesday, March 17, when the agency released a notice to the public that “all gaming lounges, betting shops & bars with gambling machines must close” effectively shutting down the OTB network.

SVREL in cooperation with the BGLC and the relevant authorities immediately shut down operations as per Disaster Risk Management Declaration of Disaster Order 2020.  The company was then given the go ahead to re-open operations and the OTB network on Thursday, March 19, after the BGLC Chairman announced a retraction of the notice on Wednesday, March 18.

Unfortunately, operations were again affected during spectator less racing on Saturday, March 21.  Police shut down several OTB operations across the country, including Charles’s OTB in Mandeville which was padlocked, effectively shutting out both the owners and customers.

The Track will continue to house and exercise horses while ensuring that those personnel adhere to the social distancing and other required public health protocols.

In keeping with the directives from the authorities and to do our part to support the fight against the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Acropolis Gaming Lounge was temporaily closed effective Wednesday March 18th until further notice.
