Kingston, Jamaica — June 18, 2025 — Laughter, gratitude, and celebration filled the air at Hope Gardens on Sunday, June 15, as the Supreme Ventures Foundation (SVF), in partnership with the United Way of Jamaica, hosted a heartwarming Father’s Day Treat for dads aptly named ‘My Dad, My Hero’.
The afternoon was thoughtfully curated to honour the strength, sacrifice, and quiet commitment of Jamaican men raising and guiding the next generation. Amongst the special guests were a group of male caregivers from the Childcare Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) many of whom play the unofficial role of father to children who live within the state care system. All the fathers and father figures were treated to an array of activities including interactive games, a lively JustBet football activation, a lighthearted sound clash and test drives courtesy of automotive partners Fidelity Motors. Prizes, giveaways, and refreshments added to the vibrant family-friendly atmosphere.
“This event is all about showing appreciation to the fathers and the men who play the role of fathers in their families and communities who often go unheralded but play such a vital role in shaping the next generation,” said Chloleen Daley Muschett, Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) AVP of PR & Corporate Affairs. “It was important to us to create a space where these men could feel seen, celebrated, and truly enjoy themselves.”
United Way of Jamaica, known for its extensive grassroots outreach, brought additional purpose and community spirit to the initiative.
“We’re proud to have Supreme Ventures Foundation on board with us a partner in our ‘My Dad, My Hero’ celebrations,” noted Dr. Devon Smith, Chairman of United Way of Jamaica. “So often, fathers are the silent supporters in the background. Today was about bringing them front and centre to say thank you and give them a well-deserved day of joy.”
The JustBet football challenge proved a major hit, giving dads a chance to show off their goal-scoring skills and dribbling skills. Meanwhile, children and families enjoyed opportunities to bond over games and shared experiences, reinforcing the day’s core message of appreciation and unity. This initiative forms part of SVF’s ongoing mission to support and uplift underserved communities across the island. Through collaborative efforts like this one, the Foundation continues to champion causes that strengthen families, empower youth, and foster a culture of gratitude and inclusivity.
