SINGLE MOM CLAIMS $49M LOTTO JACKPOT!

Tuesday June 13, 2023 –   Lotto winner A. Baker has come forward to claim her winnings! Almost a month after hitting the $49 Million Lotto jackpot, the single mother was clueless that she was a millionaire. She only realized she was the winner when she went back to her favourite Supreme Ventures outlet to purchase another Lotto ticket with the same lucky numbers of 01, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29.

“I’ve been buying these same numbers for years. I bought my ticket as usual but missed the live draw and didn’t check the results, so I didn’t realize I won. I was clueless! I found out that I won when I went back to the same store to buy the same numbers. They are the ones who told me that the numbers had hit a few weeks before. I could hardly contain my emotions. I burst into tears of joy when I realized that I won”, recounted Baker.

While still trying to come to terms with her good fortune, Baker is already sure that she will be giving back to her church and her community so others can benefit from her winnings. She will also be putting funds aside for her children’s education. “I’ve always said if I win the Lotto, I will make sure to give back. So now that I’ve won, I’ll definitely be keeping my word”, she said.

Stefan Miller, Senior VP, Product Management & Business Development at Supreme Ventures Limited was pleased to create another Lotto millionaire, with this presentation being the third since the start of the year.  “At Supreme Ventures we are in the business of transforming lives and so we’re very excited to make another Lotto millionaire. This win is extra special, as it is one of two Lotto jackpot wins for the month of May. Having our players hit the jackpot twice in one month reinforces the fact that we are the winningest gaming provider in the country.”

So far this year, one Lotto winner walked away with $63 Million in February and another lucky player bagged the $45 Million jackpot in March.  The $35 Million jackpot hit in St. Andrew on Wednesday May 31, 2023 with the winning numbers 03, 04, 13, 20, 25, 34 has not yet been claimed.

Salvation Army Nest Children’s Home receives fire detection system from Supreme Ventures Foundation

The children and caregivers at the Salvation Army Nest Children’s Home in St Andrew are feeling more secure since the recent installation of a new fire detection and alarm system at the home courtesy of the Supreme Ventures Foundation (SVF). The home is the most recent facility, overseen by the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), to be equipped by the foundation with state-of-the-art equipment as part of a memorandum of understanding signed by both entities along with the Jamaica Fire Brigade in 2019.

“We are proud to play a role in protecting and preserving the lives of children in state care across Jamaica. Through this impactful public-private initiative, we are not only safeguarding the lives of the children but also equipping the staff and caregivers with the skills and knowledge to protect themselves and their wards. This donation comes at a time when the importance of fire safety has been highlighted by a recent tragic incident in the region. The SVF is committed to protecting and transforming the lives of our most vulnerable and this initiative is a big part of that commitment,” expressed Heather Goldson, director of SVF and chief marketing officer of Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL).

Over 45 children’s homes across Jamaica have received fire detection and alarm systems as well as comprehensive fire safety training since the initiative began.

During the official handover ceremony, the Jamaica Fire Brigade conducted a short training session on fire safety. Additionally, they organised a fire drill to allow the children and caregivers to showcase what they had learnt.

SVL domino competition heats up

Ruddy Allen – Jamaica Observer – June 7, 2023

OSHANE White emerged as the second Portmore-leg champion of Supreme Ventures Limited’s Domino Masters tournament, with over 200 participants expressing their intellect, endurance, and ability to comprehend the game.

The tournament, which is played in a cut-throat format, was held at Caymanas Park on Sunday, May 21.

White advanced to the finals along with Natasha Brown, Monique Cunningham, and Dwayne Brissett. White won the first six points, followed by Brown (three), Brissett (three), and Cunningham (zero), to be crowned champion.

As the winner White received $150,000, Brown got $100,000, while Brissett and Cunningham picked up $75,000 and $50,000, respectively.

“To be honest, I came here to help my family. I was overjoyed because I had been assuring them that this was mine. I won five games on my table the last time I participated but someone won six games and I didn’t make the semi-finals, so this time I decided that this is mine and I was determined to grab it.

“I was knocked out in the first round but I came back in the second round and just took it for my family. It was far too easy,” White told the Jamaica Observer.

Gary Peart, executive chairman of Supreme Ventures Limited, expressed satisfaction with the tournament’s growth over the last few months and excitement for the national finals.

“It was fantastic; it was a fantastic tournament. The tournament is rapidly expanding. The average person does not play cut-throat but we have seen that more people are starting to play — and I believe that with a $1-million prize for the finals more domino players will certainly come out. I’d want to congratulate the winner, Oshane White, on his outstanding performance, and Supreme Ventures is overjoyed that we’re making more people wealthy.

“It’s incredible; this is the first time we’ve seen two ladies compete in a final. It’s my one regret [neither winning the event]; I was blown away by the number of ladies that competed in the competition and I truly believed a lady would win, but that didn’t happen,” Peart said.

The top 16 people from each community will compete in the national competition to be hosted at the Chinese Benevolent Association on July 2. The ticket price for the national championship is $5,000.

SVL not worried by growing number of Lotto winners

Kenrick Morgan  – Jamaica Starr – June 5, 2023

Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) is reporting four Lotto Jackpot winners have been crowned since January, beating last year’s total of three winners for the entire year.

The STAR Online spoke with Chloleen Daley-Muschett, SVL’s Corporate Communications and Public Relations Manager, who said the company isn’t worried about the increase in winners, but is happy to be making more millionaires.

“We really are all about winning, which is why we have so many different products to give customers various avenues to meet their dreams, like the Lotto games or the Scratchaz,” Daley-Muschett said.

The latest Lotto winner is scheduled to collect the $35 million jackpot, with his ticket bought at the Meadowbrook Pharmacy in St Andrew.

Daley-Muschett explained that the winner has 90 days to collect the jackpot, or the money is split between the CHASE Fund, and the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.

“Every time someone wins, the jackpot goes back to $25 million. So after 90 days if the winner does not collect the money, we aren’t allowed to keep it. It has to be disbursed based on the rules set in place by the Government,” she explained.

SVL is advising winners to begin the collection process as soon as possible.

The winner must present the winning ticket with their signature affixed and a valid form of national identification at the Supreme Ventures Flagship Store located in Twin Gates Plaza, 25 Constant Spring Road in Half Way Tree, St Andrew.
