Supreme Ventures (SVL) has signed another game changing agreement, this time with education and technology company EduFocal. Customers will now be able to top up their EduFocal account through SVL’s ChargeUp platform.

EduFocal is an online learning and exam preparation platform for Grades 4 – 6 students. Parents/Guardians can create accounts online to get access to resources, live classes and tests for their children. ​SVL’s ChargeUp platform will also facilitate top-ups for other educational offerings from EduFocal in the near future.

​Stefan Miller, Senior Vice President of Product Management and Business Development at Supreme Ventures Group says this agreement underscores the company’s commitment to innovation and supporting Jamaican small and medium businesses.

“This partnership is to allows us the opportunity to diversify our product offering while supporting a local business whose mission it is to educate young Jamaicans using technology. Online learning tools are no longer an option; it must now be considered a standard resource available to our students. We’re happy to offer parents/guardians a simple and accessible option to keep their children connected by topping up on the ChargeUp platform” he said.

The ChargeUp platform features SVL’s own branded mobile point of sale (mPOS) device that facilitates sale of top up products. ChargeUp currently has a network of over 600 devices islandwide.

Miller continued “We are also pleased to be expanding the product offerings on our ChargeUp platform. The EduFocal top up option is being added to the existing phone top up products currently available on the ChargeUp platform. This addition sees our retailers gaining another opportunity to increase their revenue.”

In reacting to the agreement, EduFocal CEO Gordon Swaby welcomed this latest milestone for his company.

EduFocal learning plans are sold for Grades 4, 5 and the two plans available for Grades 4, 5 and are the EduFocal Alpha at $2,500.00 monthly and EduFocal Plus at $10,000.00 monthly.

The Supreme Ventures Services (SVS) Business Hub has signed an agreement with the Development Bank of Jamaica to operate as a Business Development Organization (BDO) for the recently relaunched Voucher for Technical Assistance Programme (VTAP). VTAP provides business support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to help them to expand and optimize their operations.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) will see SVS Business Hub offering back-end office services such as payroll, accounting, marketing and technology support to MSMEs who qualify for and have received vouchers for technical assistance from the DBJ.

Dennis Chung, CEO of Supreme Ventures Services, a subsidiary of the Supreme Ventures Group says this agreement underscores the company’s commitment to supporting Jamaican small and medium businesses.

“At SVS Business Hub, and the wider Supreme Ventures Group, we are consistently seeking innovative ways of supporting small and medium businesses. We are very pleased with this partnership as it affords us another avenue to offer more support to these businesses. The desire for SMEs to participate in the recently announced SME funding, means also that their operations must be in that state of readiness.

This Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) Voucher for Technical Assistance (VTA) program was recently relaunched with an upgraded digital platform where businesses can seek financial assistance from the DBJ with services being provided by approved BDOs such as SVS Business Hub. MSMEs can access vouchers valued up to J$200,000 or 70% of the cost of required service.

Supreme Ventures has turned another loyal customer into a multi-millionaire after  handing over winnings of $61m to the newest Lotto winner, C Codner.

An elated Codner says he has been playing Lotto since the start of the game in Jamaica, over 20 years ago.

Like many other winners before him, Codner used the same set of lucky numbers played over the years; he hit the jackpot with 9, 10, 11, 19, 30, 31.

Xesus Johnston, CEO of Prime Sports (Jamaica) Limited, says this most recent Lotto win solidifies Supreme Ventures as the “winningest gaming provider” in Jamaica.

SUPREME Ventures Foundation (SVF) has officially unveiled the newly refurbished doctors’ lounges at Kingston Public Hospital (KPH).

The project, valued at $13 million, was done through funds donated by SVF in December 2021 to upgrade the administrative office, lounge and call-room facilities of the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the Kingston Public and Victoria Jubilee hospitals.

SVF director Heather Goldson reacted positively to the upgraded rooms and reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to improving working conditions for the staff at KPH.

“The transformation of these spaces is amazing. We at Supreme Ventures Foundation are very pleased to have contributed to this well needed and well executed renovation of the staff lounges at the KPH.

“Under normal circumstances our health-care workers are under tremendous pressure and the past two years have ramped that up exponentially. This improvement should contribute greatly to helping them to properly recharge and manage their immense workload,” said Goldson.

During the tour of the renovated spaces, Dr Garth McDonald, senior medical officer at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital, expressed his gratitude to SVL Foundation.

“Upgrading the staff lounge is something we had wanted to do for a while but could not accomplish due to limited resources. On behalf of the staff, and even the patients who will benefit from having a refreshed and rested medical team addressing their health concerns, I must express gratitude to Supreme Ventures team for stepping up and making this well needed renovation a reality. I’m very pleased with the results as it is even better than we envisioned,” said McDonald.

The donation formed part of the foundation’s continued efforts to aid in the improvement of the country’s health-care sector.

Recently SVF donated four oxygen concentrators to the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI). This is in addition to the donation of a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine to the UHWI in 2021 and further commitments to upgrade the equipment at the neonatal intensive care unit.
