Small farmer wins $1m from Supreme Scratchaz ticket

KINGSTON, Jamaica— A small farmer is the latest millionaire after winning $1 million from a $200 Supreme Scratchaz ticket.

Stefan Miller, senior vice president of Product Management and Business Development at Supreme Ventures stated that the instant scratch card game from Supreme Ventures has been well received by customers since it was launched.

“Since we launched in March, Supreme Scratchaz has been generating a buzz right across the island as gamers have been enjoying the chances to win instantly. In addition to those who have become instant millionaires, many of our customers have been winning other smaller prizes amounting to tens of millions of dollars because with Supreme Scratchaz you win nuff, win often and win right away,” Miller said.

The farmer, when collecting his prize, said that he was elated, and plans to invest it in his farm.

“I feel so good winning this money. I’ve been buying Scratchaz since it came out and this was my first time winning. I plan to use this money and invest it back in my farming. Normally it would take me almost one year to make this kind of money” he said.

Second lotto winner for 2022 bags $53m jackpot

Another Jamaican has hit the Lotto jackpot this year, walking away with $53 million.

Supreme Ventures said the winning ticket had numbers 04, 05, 24, 25,30, 34 and the ticket was purchased at the latest addition to the Supreme Ventures retail network in Fairview, Montego Bay.

This is the second Lotto win for 2022. The previous winner, C Codner walked away with $61 million after winning the February 16 jackpot.

The new winner has a maximum of 90 days to come forward with the winning ticket with the signature affixed to claim their winnings.

“The store was opened in November 2021, and already has proven lucky for one of their customers,” a release on Tuesday read.

To begin the process of collecting their jackpot, the winner must present the winning ticket with their signature affixed and valid national ID at the Supreme Ventures Prize Payment Centre located on the First Floor of the Sagicor Centre at 28-48 Barbados Avenue in New Kingston.

Supreme Ventures donates $3M to URTAJ

The donation will be largely used to renew and maintain the membership of individual trainers in the Jamaica Racing Commission.

“SVL is committed to supporting horse racing in Jamaica, and we are also committed to the members of the community. This donation will go a far way to enable the trainers to maintain their livelihood and continue to be a valuable part of Caymanas Park. We are very pleased to be able to make this commitment,” said SVL executive chairman, Gary Peart.

“The URTAJ is gratified by this donation, which now puts our membership in a very secure position for the balance of the year. We wish to thank Supreme Ventures for providing this support. It is much appreciated,” said URTAJ president, Patrick Smellie.

The Jamaica Racing Commission is responsible for the maintenance of membership and licences for horse racing trainers.

The chairman of the commission, Clovis Metcalfe, congratulated SVL on the investment.

“The Jamaica Racing Commission welcomes this initiative and salutes the effort being made on behalf of Jamaica’s trainers,” said Metcalfe.

The donation was handed over by Supreme Ventures Services CEO Dennis Chung to the association’s president at a ceremony at Caymanas Park recently.

Woman scratches and wins $5m from $500 ticket

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A woman became an instant millionaire after purchasing a $500 Supreme Scratchaz ticket.

She won the largest cash prize of $5 million.

Beaming after claiming her winnings, the winner said: “I am always buying Supreme Ventures games so when the Scratchaz came out, I started buying those tickets. I hoped to win some money but didn’t expect to win $5 million. I am overjoyed!”

The activities involved roving from Manor Park to Half-Way-Tree to downtown Kingston, making stops in between for giveaways, spot prizes and entertainment for participants.
