The donation will be largely used to renew and maintain the membership of individual trainers in the Jamaica Racing Commission.
“SVL is committed to supporting horse racing in Jamaica, and we are also committed to the members of the community. This donation will go a far way to enable the trainers to maintain their livelihood and continue to be a valuable part of Caymanas Park. We are very pleased to be able to make this commitment,” said SVL executive chairman, Gary Peart.
SUPPORT APPRECIATED
“The URTAJ is gratified by this donation, which now puts our membership in a very secure position for the balance of the year. We wish to thank Supreme Ventures for providing this support. It is much appreciated,” said URTAJ president, Patrick Smellie.
The Jamaica Racing Commission is responsible for the maintenance of membership and licences for horse racing trainers.
The chairman of the commission, Clovis Metcalfe, congratulated SVL on the investment.
“The Jamaica Racing Commission welcomes this initiative and salutes the effort being made on behalf of Jamaica’s trainers,” said Metcalfe.
The donation was handed over by Supreme Ventures Services CEO Dennis Chung to the association’s president at a ceremony at Caymanas Park recently.
